Cape Chapter Meeting November 2024

Exciting Highlights from Our Monthly PSASA Cape Chapter Meeting!

We had another fantastic gathering at our monthly PSASA Cape Chapter Meeting! The evening kicked off with wonderful networking, delicious dinner, and refreshing drinks.

Inspiring Leadership: Our Cape Chapter President, Marriet Visser, set an uplifting tone for the night, while our dynamic Master of Ceremonies, Brian Koga, kept everything on track.

Guest Speaker 1: We were thrilled to welcome PSASA President Arthur Goldstuck as our guest speaker. Arthur shared his insights from over a decade in AI, using engaging sports and tech metaphors to illustrate how we can score big on personal future-readiness and, importantly, how to turn those scores into wins!

Member Showcase: We kicked off our member showcase with the incredible Vivienne Vermaak, an award-winning investigative journalist, writer, and public speaker! Best known for her role as the beloved presenter of “Going Nowhere Slowly,” Viv is now making waves as “The DisMotivational Speaker.” In true travel journalist style, she captivated us with anecdotes about her iconic red 69 Chev Impala, V8. Connect with Viv for some inspiring insights!

Guest Speaker 2: Our next speaker, Bruce Wade, explored the fascinating concept of positional networking. He covered essential topics like marketing through free speech, aiming for Olympic-level quality, validating stories, and the importance of following up on leads. His hands-on session on crafting the perfect elevator pitch left us all inspired and ready to refine our introductions, stories, and calls to action!

We wrapped up the evening with closing remarks from Brian Koga, followed by more vibrant networking.

Mark Your Calendars: Don’t miss our next meeting on 9 December 2024! Be sure to reserve your spot with PSASA where we will celebrate the success of the past year.

We can’t wait to see you there for another evening of knowledge-sharing and meaningful connections!
