We had another fantastic gathering at our PSASA Cape Chapter Meeting, and it was an evening to remember!

Inspiring Leadership: Our Cape Chapter President, Marriet Visser, set an uplifting tone for the evening. The always-engaging Vivienne Vermaak, a former host of the popular television show Going Nowhere Slowly, kept the event lively with her sharp wit and humor!
Guest Speaker Spotlight: We were thrilled to welcome Terry Winship, who delivered an enlightening talk titled “Expert to Educator – Turning Expertise into a Course.” Terry emphasized that being an expert is just the beginning; it’s crucial to master the art of teaching! Her insights on course design went beyond the traditional PowerPoint slides, delving into cognitive load, working memory, and engaging learners through varied delivery methods. Member Showcase: Our member showcase featured the legendary Barry Hilton, an award-winning comedian and renowned TV personality with three decades of experience. His unique observational humor has won the hearts of audiences worldwide. In 2014, he was honored with the Lifetime Achiever Award at the Comics Choice Awards.
