Highlights from Our Monthly PSASA Cape Chapter Meeting!
We had a fantastic evening at our recent PSASA Cape Chapter meeting! As always, the night started with a vibrant networking session, followed by a delightful dinner and drinks. Everyone then transitioned into the main meeting room, which was filled with the energy of anticipation for what was to come!
Our Past PSASA President, Bruce Wade, served as the Master of Ceremonies and set an inspiring tone for the evening, ensuring everything stayed right on track.
Member Showcase: Kyle Jantjies
We were thrilled to kick off the showcase with Kyle Jantjies, who captivated us with his incredible journey as a writer. He candidly shared how his first fantasy novel “flopped – HARD!” in 2013. But instead of backing down, he persevered and, seven years later, published his debut book. Fast forward, and Kyle is now an acclaimed author of multiple fantasy novels, including the Epic Military Fantasy Series: Journey of Soul!
Kyle is not just an author; he’s a Professional Speaker, Book Coach, Adventurer, Martial Artist, and Visionary! He is dedicated to helping aspiring authors turn their dreams into reality. Since publishing his first book, he has made incredible strides, including appearances on television and radio, speaking at events like Comicon Cape Town, and serving as a guest speaker at the Adam Small Literary Festival. Workshop with Charlotte Kemp
Next, we were honoured to hear from Past PSASA and GSF President, Charlotte Kemp, who delivered a thought-provoking workshop titled Crafting Your Future Professional Speaking Career. Charlotte engaged us in a dynamic group exercise that helped us identify trends, tackle uncertainties within the industry, and take informed action. We explored valuable tools to stay relevant and prepared for long-term success as professional speakers.
