Pretoria Chapter 28 May: Second Arrow

Pretoria Chapter was very pleased to host Dr Alex Granger on 28 May 2020. It was great to host PSASA President Joni Peddie, KZN Chapter President, Zanele Njapha and  Cape Town Chapter President, Unotida Nyoni. From the Johannesburg Chapter, it was great to see Dr Ian Bratt who is a regular visitor to our Chapter in Pretoria, especially when we have face to face meetings at Lynnwood Conference Centre. We were also spoilt to have some participants from abroad, notably from Ghana and Zimbabwe, these are the benefits of hosting virtual meetings! Dr Alex Granger is considered one of the top leadership; personal mastery; and high performance speakers in Africa. His work is embraced by business leaders of blue-chip companies, associations, institutes, and leaders in government. He has been speaking since 2002. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Selinus University, with his thesis on Epistemological Mindsets, a Doctor of Excellence (Honoris Causa) from Auream Phoenix University, an Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) and a Leadership Development Program (LDP) from the Gordon‘s Institute of Business Science (GIBS) with a distinction in Leadership. He is both a Certified NLP Life Coach and Certified Virtual Instructor Led Trainer (VILT) from Rule The Room Public Speaking. Our Topic  was The Second Arrow  Dr Alex spoke on Personal Mastery, his topic: the 2nd Arrow. The essence of his talk is that we may not be able to control what happens to us but we have control on how we respond. This is especially important during times of uncertainty like the current COVID19 pandemic. The participants were very happy to hear Dr Alex sing at the end. What a great evening that was! Chapter Deputy President, Tyron Leigh Harding was the co-host and Chapter member, Mandla Mokoena served as MC. Chapter Executive Member, Frans Nortje introduced the Speaker. Former PSASA President, Carl Schultz gave a wonderful review of the speech by Dr Granger. Chapter member, Chris Vermeulen made a presentation on the benefits and responsibilities of membership of PSASA. Dr Maureen Tong, Chapter President
