KZN PSASA Chapter – Blog Post: August Chapter Meeting

The KZN Chapter is picking up some positive momentum towards rebuilding a vibrant community of Speaking Professionals.

At the recent KZN Chapter meeting on Thursday 22nd August, members and visitors were treated to two insightful presentations. The first speaker, Colleen Wilson, the newly appointed Deputy President of the KZN Chapter, delivered an impactful talk on “Managing Stress, Anxiety & Overwhelm in the Speaking Space.”

As a transformation consultant, coach, and speaker, Colleen introduced the concept of Nervous System literacy, encouraging the audience to understand and manage their stress responses. She also touched on the Enneagram, providing tools for self-awareness and stress management, leaving the audience both informed and inspired.

Following Colleen, KZN Chapter President Brenden Cavanagh shared his expertise in marketing and communication. His talk, “Promoting Yourself to the Right People in the Right Way,” encouraged attendees to craft personal messages that resonate with their ideal target markets, reinforcing the values of competence and confidence.

The talks were centered around building Competence & Confidence.

The event was a resounding success, sparking valuable conversations, feedback, and networking opportunities, with a series of potential new members in the process of joining, as the KZN Chapter continues its upward trajectory.
