DAVID ABBOTT

 

 

 

David Abbott is a UK based international speaker and a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer.

 

After studying Engineering Science & Economics at Oxford University, David spent 10 years as an electronics design engineer, designing everything from silicon chips to microcontroller embedded systems. He then moved into more commercial roles, initially in marketing and then business management.

 

David has held senior marketing roles and managing director roles in a wide variety of organisations and industries. He has run companies from startups to the UK divisions of major multinationals, and has managed marketing functions from UK teams to group marketing roles. His experience covers consumer, business and public sector selling and marketing, in industries encompassing IT, manufacturing, distribution, social alarms, healthcare, outsourced services and consumer goods.

 

He currently splits his time between acting as a portfolio marketing director and working with audiences and organisations on one of the neglected areas of marketing - pricing. As a portfolio marketing director, David is usually engaged to help his clients develop and execute a marketing strategy, and to develop marketing competence within the organisation. He brings a wealth of experience to his speaking topics, talking with authority about each topic, brought to life with real world examples.
