Dear speaker colleagues and members

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has challenged industries and devastated some businesses. Our speaker colleagues have found many creative and practical ways to still share their value and message with clients and audiences. Unfortunately in the broader business events arena, many of our professional colleagues have not been able to continue operating in any form. Conventions, conferences, training, exhibitions and shows have all been cancelled or postponed.

In this environment, many of the associations in this space in South Africa, came together to form the SA Events Council, the purpose of which is to offer support to each other and to lobby government for practical ways to stay in business and support our businesses and sector.

PSASA was invited to join this group and it is our pleasure to be part of this incredible and energetic collaboration.

The SA Events Council is collaborating across many associations, and lobbying government and engaging with bodies with creative solutions to problems, to find ways to support our industry.

Members and friends, as we strive to do better business and to collaborate with our colleagues to re-open events in the region, please do support us by sharing content online to raise awareness to create more opportunities to collaborate.

Should you have any questions or comments, feel free to direct them to me.

Charlotte Kemp
PSASA Deputy President and PSASA representative to the SA Events Council
