You are invited to another interesting meeting at the PSASA Gauteng Chapter!
On Thursday evening, 11 February 2016, we have an interesting evening planned.
Here is what you can look forward to:
- “Witness to Greatness, an up-close-and-personal, anecdotal look into Madiba’s presidency” by former Chief bodyguard of President Mandela, Rory Steyn. You don’t want to miss this fascinating and insightful talk, told with great humility by Rory,
- Former journalist, internationally acclaimed speaker and passionate entrepreneurship advocate Geeta Nadkarni – the three principles to be seen, heard, booked and paid by using your media logos (video presentation as presented at NSA Influence 2015),
- Dinner, networking and catching up with friends!
About Rory Steyn
Rory Steyn was the former chief of security for president Nelson Mandela. He also served as the security liaison for the New Zealand All Blacks during the 1995 Rugby World Cup. In 2001, Steyn published a memoir, One Step Behind Mandela: The Story of Rory Steyn, Nelson Mandela’s Chief Bodyguard, co-authored with Debora Patta.
About Geeta Nadkarni
Geeta Nadkarni got her first paid writing gig when she was 12. By the time she moved on to media coaching in her thirties, she’d developed a rather muscular delete finger from all the terrible press releases in her inbox. She’s now a woman with a mission and recently launched Baby Got Booked, an online training course that helps entrepreneurs and experts of every stripe do their own PR and gain the credibility, exposure and connections that only come with free press.
Venue: Hacklebrooke Conference Centre, Cnr Conrad Drive and Jan Smuts Avenue, Hyde Park
Date: 11 February 2016
Chapter meeting time: 18h30 – 21h30
Cost: Free to all paid up PSASA members, R300 for guests and R120 for spouses of members.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
