Dear Colleagues, Members and Friends,
Our speakers this month will be Tiffany Markman and Alan Stevens.
How to for speakers: Managing your influence via Social Media
Why use social media in the first place? Because you don’t have a choice. Everyone you want to talk to – and everyone you want to influence – is there, in some way or another. Being active and strategic on social media is one of the best and most cost-effective ways to have an impact, market your speaking brand, and create a community of fans, followers and prospective clients.
Tiffany Markman will guide you through:
- Why use social at all
- How to pick your platforms
- What content to share
- Important considerations for style
- Common pitfalls to avoid

How to build and maintain a world-class reputation
My take on influence: If we don’t influence people, we are wasting our time and theirs. Influence is based on evidence, knowledge and experience, providing people with confidence in the message we deliver.
There is only one way to position yourself in the marketplace – delivering unique value.
Alan Stevens is a reputation expert who was Past President of the Global Speakers Federation. He is also an author and journalist, and both a TV presenter and expert interviewee. He has been speaking remotely since 1995, and has created a Facebook group for fellow professionals who wish to speak remotely. It’s called, unsurprisingly, Remote Speaking.
We look forward to seeing you there!
