September Lunchtime Session
6 Sep 2021 @ 12:00 - 13:00 SAST
[Hosted by the Johannesburg chapter, open to all PSASA members]
Dear members, colleagues, and friends,
From September, we will host a monthly lunchtime session focused on mastering the virtual platforms speakers can use to maximise remote conferencing.
These tools not only give you a competitive advantage among speakers, but also enable you to relax around the technology and focus on what matters most: speaking.
Our first session will be presented by a Microsoft Teams expert from our own ranks, Sharon King Gabrielides. She will show attendees how to enhance speaking with this platform, as well as how to implement the tools of Teams while using it for speaking. Knowing these tools also enables you to show your clients a greater return on investment through having an all-round expert speak at their event.
Sharon is a dynamic facilitator, speaker and executive coach with over 25 years’ experience in leadership development and organisational transformation. Her PhD thesis contributed a framework for holistic and sustainable development, and has been published by Rutgers University in the USA. She is often referred to as the EQ Guru and is highly sought-after by leading corporates because of her practical approach and the contribution her interventions make to their individuals, teams and business success.
Before Covid, about 2% of Sharon’s work happened online. Today it is almost 100% and she spends an average of 15 days a month facilitating full-day workshops using Microsoft Teams. She hosts all workshops on her ecosystem and offers clients an end-to-end solution from scheduling, workshop reminders and tech support during the programme. She does not claim to be the definitive expert in Microsoft Teams, but she started her career as a Microsoft Office trainer and that experience has played a role in her adapting quickly.
Sharon looks forward to sharing her knowledge about facilitating using MS Teams, answering your questions and learning from you. Come prepared to co-create Key Steps to “be the difference that makes the difference”.
There is a pre-questionnaire to fill out before the meeting so that Sharon can answer questions you may have about Teams before the session. Please fill it in here
