We have a power husband and wife duo speaking at our meeting this month.
Our first speaker, Paul du Toit’s session is entitled Make Your Keynote Count.
The best way to get speaking bookings is to be seen and heard speaking. You know that it takes consistent marketing and brand building just to get booked. So what does it take to get up to performance level so that you shine on the day and that each speech results in momentum for your brand?
In this session Paul du Toit, CSP unpacks the steps necessary to ensure that your delivery matches your wonderful content. He will cover:

- Why the coin has 2 sides, and neither side is blank

- Where do I stand?
- Platform dynamics
Paul du Toit is a 26 year speaking veteran, Africa’s 1st Certified Speaking Professional this century and the author of 2 books on speaking. He has been inducted in to the Southern African Speakers Hall of Fame and the Southern African Educators Hall of Fame. He was instrumental in the founding of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa 19 years ago, serving as its president in 2006, and was the 2nd recipient of its Founders Award for service to the business of speaking. He runs Congruence Training specialising in communication skills. In between scuba diving and sampling fine red wine, he’s run the Comrades 3 times, completed 13 Two Oceans marathons and enjoys strumming his guitar. Although born in Cape Town, he lives in Johannesburg and has 2 grown up daughters, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 avo trees and one wife who lives with him and their vegetable patch in Sandton.
In our second session, Paul and his wife Trudi Toit will facilitate a Q & A session based on how to be an Exceptional Speaker.
Trudi du Toit has been an independent / freelance facilitator since 2006. Trudi has worked with various organisations, individuals & teams, at different levels, from different industries. She is an experienced & accomplished facilitator – flexible & versatile – able to deal with diverse audiences. Besides being a businesswoman, she is also a wife & mother, and an accomplished cook.
Trudi specialises in Presentation Skills, Leadership Empowerment, Smart Negotiating. She has attended most of the PSASA annual conventions since inception. She has seen and heard hundreds of speakers in action over 2 decades.
She brings her insights and experience to the Exceptional Speaker Q&A session. She’s also taken over the vegetable patch with wonderful results!
