KZN Chapter Meeting
18 July @ 18:00 - 21:00 SAST
Dear Colleagues, Members and Friends,
Get ready to cast off your doubts and sail towards your true potential with the KZN Chapter of the Professional Speakers Association. We’re stoked to invite you to an exclusive workshop, led by none other than our very own Captain Londy Ngcobo, Africa’s first female Dredge Master and the powerhouse behind Global Maritime Youth!
Navigating the sea of public speaking can be daunting, but fear not! Captain Londy, with her 15 years of experience in maritime and public speaking, is here to chart a course for you. She’ll share invaluable tricks of the trade and tools for personal positioning, sure to set you on a successful voyage in the marketplace.
Why stay on shore when you could be making waves? Londy dared to dream, dared to become a ship captain, and now, she dares YOU to take the helm of your career.
Captain Londy Ngcobo, renowned as the “Blaqmermaid”, is not just a trailblazer, but an unstoppable force in the maritime industry. As Africa’s first female Dredge Master and a globally acclaimed ship navigator, Londy has charted a bold course that many dream to follow.
For over 15 years, she has been navigating the rough seas of the maritime industry, laying claim to titles like a ship navigational officer for the world’s largest container shipping company, Maersk, and the former Executive Maritime Compliance Manager for the largest logistics firm in South Africa. Today, she stands proud as the Chief Executive of Womaritime Experts and Founder of Global Maritime Youth, echoing her well-known title “The BLACKMERMAID”.
But Londy’s journey isn’t just about breaking barriers in the maritime world. It’s about daring to dream and inspiring others to do the same. It’s about not being Rose from the Titanic, but the captain of the Titanic. Her journey serves as a beacon for corporates to lead diversity and inclusion, for women to assume captaincy of their lives, and for the youth to reach for endless horizons.
Her electrifying speeches, including her popular TEDx Talk “Anchors Aweigh, No Rest for The First”, and impactful quotes like “I chose not to be Rose from the Titanic, I chose to Captain the Titanic” resonate across the globe. This multi-award-winning woman is making waves not only at sea but also on land. She’s more than a maritime professional; she’s a navigator of change, guiding us all towards a more inclusive, brave, and vibrant world.
We look forward to seeing you there!
