Gary BaileyGary Bailey is a former Manchester United and England soccer goalkeeper who performed under intense pressure over 10 years and 370 games for the biggest sports club in the world. During that time he developed simple but effective techniques to help him thrive under pressure and used these methods to win 2 F A cup medals (similar to Superbowl). After retiring from Manchester United, he returned home to South Africa and become an anchor TV presenter for soccer to the entire African continent, and once more, was under constant and intense pressure.
Gary is one of those rare sports stars who has gone on to study business, and his MBA (Henley – Oxford) has allowed him to transfer valuable sports lessons into sold business skills that help everyone not only Survive under pressure, but THRIVE !
Gary has worked with many of the biggest companies in the world, such as Coke, IBM, Chevrolet and also many small companies, and in each case he has managed to help them improve their abililty to Succeed under Pressure, and this inevetibly produces measurable bottom line results.
Gary has walked his talk – he has been under the most intense of pressures since making his debut for Manchester United as a 20 year old, and his ability to handle pressure, along with what he has learnt from his former manager, the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson (manager of Manchester United for 26 yrs and the most successful sports manager of all time), allows him to give practical and solid advice that will make a big difference in you and your teams success levels. Gary’s keynote or workshop is humorous, hard hitting and inspirational, and leaves you with a set of activities to follow that will virtually guarantee you greater success.
Gary has spoken on every continent and to most of the top 100 companies in the world, and after 20 years in the business, he was inducted into the Speakers Hall of Fame in South Africa in 2010.
In 2011 he published a book written with Professor, Rakesh Sondhi (Henley, Oxford) outlining his approach to dealing with pressure, called Succeed Under Pressure.
