Annual General Meeting

Our President, Gavin Novis, invites all members to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Johannesburg Chapter of the PSASA.

Dinner is at 18:30 Basement parking is at 2 Sandown Valley Crescent. See map to venue here

Please note that we are looking for members to volunteer to serve on the Chapter committee.  This is a great leadership opportunity and the more people we have on the committee, the less the workload for each person.

Nominations are hereby invited for positions on the Chapter Committee.  Please submit the form (Link).  You can nominate yourself and you do not have to have a seconder if nominating somebody else (we will find a seconder).  However, if you are nominating somebody, please get their acceptance that they are willing to be nominated.

Those members not able to attend the meeting/AGM are kindly requested to submit a signed proxy form to the Deputy Vice President, Ian Bratt, by Tuesday 12th March.  We need these as we need a quorum for the AGM and the proxies are important if we don’t have enough people physically attending the meeting.

Identify your Speaking Sweet Spot for clarity, positioning and success

No matter how experienced a speaker you are, sometimes it’s good to review what you’re doing as a speaker and consider if you’re reaching the right audiences in the right way.

Whether you’re a new speaker, a seasoned speaker, or an aspiring speaker, Charlotte’s presentation will give you the perfect opportunity to do just that!

Learn the difference between categories of speakers and trainers, clients and audiences, global vs international, workshops vs keynotes and more, that will help you to define your sweet spot, help clients choose you and be more successful in your speaking business.

Charlotte Kemp is a speaker, futurist and author and has been a member of PSASA for over 8 years. She is the Virtual Chapter President and has served as Chapter President for the Cape Chapter.  She was the annual convention convenor in 2015 and mid-term convention convenor in 2018.   She has also served as Secretary to the Global Speakers Federation.

Charlotte loves the speaking industry and wants to uncover the nuances that make professional speaking such a powerful tool for change and influence. She pokes around the various elements and categories of speaking and conferences until she finds patterns and clarity and what she has learned is what she wants to share in this presentation.
