AN EVENING WITH DOUGLAS KRUGER EXPLORING
RELEVANCE AND INNOVATION FOR THE SPEAKING INDUSTRY
Join us on Monday 18th May at 7.00 pm on ZOOM for an illuminating PSASA Cape Chapter meeting with the globally recognised speaker-expert, Douglas Kruger, on a topic that is critically important to us all in this day and age.
‘Becoming a Relentlessly Relevant and Innovative Speaker’
DOUGLAS KRUGER is a thought-leader and global speaker who has experienced outstanding success in his field. From being designated CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) by the National Speakers Association of USA – an honour held by only 12% of speakers globally – and being inducted into the Speaker’s Hall of Fame by the PSASA, Douglas is a sought-after speaker all over the world.
He is the author of 6 books (including the highly acclaimed ‘Own Your Industry – How to Position Yourself as an Expert’ published by Penguin Random House), has been featured repeatedly on CNBC Africa and published in Forbes and Entrepreneur magazines.
Douglas dismantles the self-imposed rules that can hamstring performance and shows how talent and innovation can deliver us from victimhood mentality. His aim is to bring life to any event and prosperity to all brands.
We are delighted to have him with us to help us explore our relevance and innovative practices.
Dear PSASA Cape Chapter Members
I have always believed that when we win on the inside, the outside world will have no choice but to give in to our winning attitude. When we are intentional about taking our speaking businesses to the next level, and we do all that we can to make progress, we will definitely move to the next step. In all our meetings, we want to make sure that your self-belief and success drive are taken to the next level so that we can celebrate success together.
This is why in this coming meeting, we have asked one of our own PSASA members to talk to us about how to become relentlessly relevant and innovative speakers. We do this as we also celebrate his success in responding to the Corona Virus pandemic. He has become a global voice for business resilience through his new book “Virus-proof your business” Come ready to learn and to ask as many questions as you can.
The second aspect that we are working on is to make sure that we grow as a team, not just as individuals. There is an African proverb that goes, “If you want to fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” That my friends is the power that we can all harness from this association if we are intentional about building each other up. This is why the leadership team has created a survey so that we understand what we need to grow as a team. We look forward to your input.
We also want to bond as a team outside the monthly meetings. We will be introducing informal online meetings where we just get to know each other better. When the lockdown is over, we will be asking volunteers to host these meetings in their homes. There will be no agenda set and we will enjoy good food and drinks as we do so.
Lastly, let’s continue to join the masterminds and join other chapter meetings during this lockdown period. We have an opportunity to build relationships across the country and around the world, so let’s maximise the moment.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
