NEXT. It is a word that defines the speaking profession in 2021. It is today, tomorrow, and the future. It is certainty and uncertainty. It is strategy, planning, and execution. It is both the next big thing and the smallest nuances of how the world is changing.
The next phase in our profession and our careers may be different for each individual, but it cannot be the same as it was before 2020. Especially in this time of radical change and fundamental shifts in society and the economy globally, our focus must be on what comes next, what we plan to do next, and what our clients need next.
This is the 15th Annual PSASA Convention and the first to be hybrid, with thirty speakers from 12 different countries around the world: a mixture of live and virtual speakers to entertain and enthral you with new ideas to help you grow your speaking business. Conventions have never been this good.
The event starts on Friday morning with a world class Pre-Con: “Coping with COVID” A lighthearted look at how Speakers, Entertainers and Educators have successfully managed the last year of lockdowns and the pandemic. The MC for this event is Alan Committie live at the venue so we know it will be a lot of fun.
Friday afternoon sees the start of the main event with speakers talking about how the industry has changed and how we can grow our business “Today”
Tell us a Story
Bring your best story to the dinner on Friday evening. There will be a prize or two for the best five minute stories.
The daily theme on Saturday is “Tomorrow”. What do we expect will happen to the speaking industry in the near future? What are we doing to gear ourselves up to take advantage of that near future? On Saturday we have the best speakers from Sweden, India, US, Australia, UK, Malaysia, and Russia, to share their take on “Tomorrow” in the speaking industry. We also have a very special panel of Septuagenarian speakers who will share how the industry has changed over the past 50 years.
Saturday evening is the Gala Dinner with a surprise theme and decor as well as live entertainment. This is also where we will present the awards to the best of the best speakers and educators in South Africa. Dress up in your tux or traditional dress.
The Sunday theme is all about the “Future” of the speaking industry and how you are going to stay ahead over the next few years.
The next phase in our profession and our careers may be different for each individual, but it cannot be the same as it was before 2020. Especially in this time of radical change and fundamental shifts in society and the economy globally, our focus must be on what comes next, what we plan to do next, and what our clients need next.
All the existing safety protocols will be observed.
Hurry, there are only 10 places left at the venue but plenty of space for virtual delegates.
