Book your seat now for our next chapter meeting on 11 June 2012. We have Gerhi Feuren joining us and sharing his expertise on writing a book.

How to write a book workshop

Hi, I am Gerhi Feuren and I am going to give you a quick introduction to a book writing method I call the BLOCK & CRAM method. I have written essays, academic papers, press releases, web copy, business plans, blog posts and for the last four years short stories and novels. Currently I am on a fast track schedule to get my fiction published.
Most writing advice is aimed at turning you into a dedicated writer, and fostering the habits that will keep you doing it for a long time — which does not work for you, right?
You are a busy person. You have to run your business and normally you have to be at two places, doing two things at the same time — on a good day. On a bad day you are doing twice that in half the time. So, how do you manage to get a book written?
There is no way that I can turn you into a writer in a short workshop, nor do I believe that you need to be to write a book that will support your business.
You know that being an author of a book will make a change to your profile and your business. I am not going to spend time to convince you of that. I am going to spend my time to give you my BLOCK & CRAM book writing method AND THEN, facilitate the start of your project.
This is going to be a fast paced session so please bring a wide awake body, an eager mind, a pen and paper (physical not digital) and a copy of your favourite business book.
Just a final warning. I may scare you off of wanting to write a book at all. Let’s be honest, it is hard to do no matter what. If it wasn’t your book would be done already. But it is doable, no matter what your schedule – are you willing to try?
