David Lipschitz BSc (Honours) MBA M.Inst.D
Load Shedding, what it is, how it happened and what we can do about it
David Lipschitz, a member of the Institute of Directors, is a software developer & energy knowledge resource with a Computer Science Honours degree & an MBA, who has run an Software business since November 1994.
In 2004, he started researching wind turbines & in June 2008 he started testing battery based photovoltaic (PV) & wind energy systems. He installed systems between October 2008 & September 2010. The learning from these systems & David’s wide reading & research has enabled him to get a firm grasp of the energy environment in Southern Africa.
In 2008 he started a renewable energy (RE) business with a focus on Feed In Tariffs (FITs). When FITs didn’t happen, he started promoting Net Metering (NEM).
Today he is a Community (Virtual) Power Station (VPS) expert & energy researcher presenting at conferences, advising clients, and using selected installers to do installations.
