What if I do not qualify for membership, how do I start?
Attend training sessions and meetings where members will help you get started in reaching the requirements for PSASA membership.
What is the difference between Toastmasters and PSASA?
PSASA is the association for experts who speak professionally. Our members earn all or part of their income from professional speaking, training and facilitating. It is for those in the business of professional speaking. Toastmasters International is an organization designed to assist people in their speaking skills at regular meetings where members have the opportunity to speak and receive feedback on their speeches.
Do I have to re-apply for membership every year?
You only have to submit qualification documents when you apply for membership. Once you have been accepted as a member, you need only sign the renewal form verifying that you continue to meet the criteria for your membership category. You do not have to provide documentation annually. If you fail to meet the criteria, your membership will be adjusted to that level which you do qualify for. If you fail to meet any of the membership criteria, your membership will cease.
What are the benefits of each membership category?
The following table outlines the benefits of each category of membership. The table lists the benefits that will be in place as soon as the PSASA becomes a member of the International Federation of Professional Speakers. To qualify, we will need 150 members
