Dear Visitor to PSASA’s Events Showcase

The International Federation For Professional Speakers is a community of speakers 
around the globe. Through its national member organisations, the IFFPS is focussed 
on providing its members with suitable opportunities to grow, and expand their 
knowledge, skills and horizons.  The Professional Speakers Association of Southern
Africa (PSASA) has accordingly set objectives to provide ongoing education 
and learning inputs for its members and aspiring members in a number of ways:

Monthly Meetings in all its Chapters

These meetings enable members to meet, network, share ideas and stay in touch with 
events in the international speaking industry and PSASA specifically. The meetings usually 
showcase a subject expert relevant to the speaking profession. These meetings are usually 
held monthly, during a weekday evening or on a Saturday morning. Duration - 1 to 3 hours.

Monthly Technical Workshops

PSASA conducts Saturday morning workshop from time to time on relevant aspects of building
a successful speaking business.  These sessions, conducted by subject expert professional 
members, are aimed at emerging speakers, but are of value to speakers at all levels. 
Duration: 3-4 hours.

Special Ad Hoc Meetings

Both the above events are sometimes scheduled to coincide with the visit of an international 
speaking colleague from a sister association.

The Annual National Convention

Once a year our national convention hosts a selection of top quality professional speakers 
and subject experts at a recognised conference venue. These conventions consist of keynote
presentations, educational workshops and “Meet the Pro” sessions. The networking 
opportunities are a major draw-card, and pull together many major players in the speaking 
industry including speaker bureaux, conference organisers and event planners.

The Annual General Meeting

This is a members only event. The PSASA Board reports back to its members on the activities of 
the previous year, propose new directions for the coming year, and conduct elections of new office
bearers. This usually happens annually in August, soon after the NSA Convention in the USA.

International Conventions and Summits

Our affiliated National speakers associations in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, 
Singapore and Malaysia conduct their own Conventions, usually on an annual basis. All IFFPS affiliated 
members are eligible to attend these conventions at member rates.
